BEIJING – Lenovo surprisingly entered the console gaming market by presenting the Ebox. Console games are produced by subsidiaries Eedoo will provide an alternative for console produced by Microsoft (Xbox 360), Sony (PS3) and Nintendo (Wii).
According to CEO Jack Edoo Luo, Ebox is expected to be integrated controller platform features similar to Kinect free. Ebox will be present along with 30 pre-installed games to be launched in the first quarter of 2011.
Luo told Reuters, which quoted Monday (09/20/2010) that more than 19 million families in China will be able to afford this console if the price below 3000 yuan or approximately USD446.
“Consumers are different in China. Because, if you sell only the machines, they  will be wondering why it not come with the games,” he explained
“So our strategy is to sell the complete product so that the customers do not need to purchase a large number of add-ons,” he added.
He added that Eedoo just entered the second round of fundraising, with the aim of improving tens of millions of dollars from investors.
“As a Chinese company, we know the market and our cultural habits better, so I’m very confident that we will do well,” he claims.
