Billionaire who was also a British video game boss Sir Richard Branson, budgeted cash prize of U.S. $ 1 million as a reward for gamers who won an online game competition. The lure of Branson’s prize was announced at a prestigious exhibition games Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) being held in Los Angeles.

“Video gaming is the greatest game ever,” Branson said. Apparently, the announcement of the reward offer as well as to introduce the latest online gaming service which created his company, Virgin Gaming. The gamers will follow the tournament in the Virgin Gaming will compete to play various games on the service. Some popular titles include ‘Halo 3′ and ‘Madden NFL 10′.

For winning the tournament, Branson allocate special funds amounting to U.S. $ 1 million for online gaming tournament prize is for one year. The cash prize is the result of a joint venture owned by Branson’s two gaming companies in Canada, namely Branson and WorldGaming.com.

“Despite the highly competitive video game market, we see great opportunities,” said Branson. That’s why according to Branson, he would prefer the video game industry engaged in the business rather than a computer or software for mobile platforms.
